Two young boys who survived the Titanic, known as the 'Titanic orphans', were identified and reunited with their mother.

"I stayed in till 7.15 on the chance of your coming or telephoning, as you didnt do either I suppose you were prevented or forgot. Which was it? I am going away tomorrow till Monday."

"I know you will accept my assurance about this afternoon when I say that I was engaged on work so deeply and urgently that I could neither telephone nor come. After all its my loss and so perhaps you will realisethat not coming was in itself sufficient punishment."
