H.H. Asquith
London
HIS DAYReturned from Aldershot after attending a Royal inspection with the King and Queen. Resumed government business in London
Venetia Stanley
London
HER DAYLikely in London, moving in her usual social круг and being hard to pin down by letter (no reply to Asquith; he says he is ‘quite in the dark’ about her week).. Probably attending (or preparing for) society dinners/parties; Asquith only knows she had been ‘dining with the Lyells’ and hints at a ball.. In communication with Asquith (as recipient of his letter of 19 May), but not seeing him that day; he is trying to arrange time together later in the week (Friday afternoon).
