"

I enjoyed my time at Aldershot much more than I expected. . . . I had a long talk this morning with Genl Macready who is over from Belfast, and is certainly one of the cleverest of the soldiers.

Asquith recounts his visit to Aldershot and meetings with military figures, and mentions Gen. Macready.

Mentioned:Maud Cunard • Lord Chief Justice • Lloyd George • Princess Mary • Gen. Macready • Sidney Buxton
