I am extremely glad that I didn’t know beforehand that you were going to take to yourself wings & fly . . . I have had two interesting if not very enlivening interviews. The first (which is most secret) was with Lord Northcliffe . . . After I got back to the House I had half an hour with Redmond & Dillon – also mainly about areas.

Asquith expresses relief at Venetia's safety after flying, and details interviews with Northcliffe and Irish leaders regarding Ulster.

Mentioned:Winston Churchill • Lord Northcliffe • Redmond • Dillon • The Master • Constantine Benckendorff • Nellie Hozier • Edward Horner
