. . . I hope you will like my little tribute to poor Illingworth. . . . We had a heavenly hour together yesterday: you were very sweet to me, though once or twice a trifle elusive. . . . Meantime in the interludes of the Cabinet & the House I have jotted down the enclosed outline 'Portrait of a Lady.'
